Where and when it meets

The meeting point is on the second floor of Hiroshima Station at the north exit, in front of the Shinkansen ticket gate. Staff hold a green-and-white flag. The tour takes about eight hours. If you come from Osaka or Kyoto, the operator asks you to book a return train that leaves after 18:30, so the evening on the platform is part of the plan.

Lunch and diets

Okonomiyaki lunch is an option you add when booking. A vegetarian version is available on request; vegan, halal and gluten-free meals are not offered.

The audio guide

Next to the live guide, the tour has an audio guide in several languages, German among them. The live guide does not speak German, so the audio guide is the way to follow the day in German.

What reviewers point out

Guests mostly praise the guides and the balance between the memorial and the island. Two kinds of criticism come up. One guest described the pace as rushed and could not reach the operator by phone. Another reported that the museum part of the day was cancelled at short notice. Programme changes at the museum are possible on any tour; when the museum closed for several days in February 2026, tours went to the Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall instead.

Cancellation

Free cancellation runs up to 24 hours before the start. The train ticket you buy for the day has its own rules, so book it once the tour date is fixed.

Alternatives with the train included

If you would rather not buy the Shinkansen yourself, the packages from Osaka and Kyoto put the train on the same booking. For a smaller group from the same station, see the tours from Hiroshima Station.

Guests on the Japan Panoramic Tours day

Most guests describe a well-paced day with knowledgeable guides. The critical voices concern a rushed pace, a phone line that did not connect, and a museum visit that was dropped at short notice.

“Rino pur tour guide was awesome, the tour was well paced, the bus was comfortable the information was clear and super interesting. Even though some of the topics are sad Rino was great at uplifting the group when going to Miyajima. … Recommend especially if you have just one day to see all the main sites.”
